getting larger...

Okay so today I had an interesting thing happen; at work I see patients for diet consults on a monthly basis. I saw a Spanish couple today and they ended up questioning whether or not I was the one who saw them last month. I told them I had and the gentleman in broken English looked at me and said "naw, the one we saw wasn't pregnant" I was like, umm, ya I was but I have twins-
Appartently I have gotten huge this past month and trust me I feel it! About two weeks ago I measured my tummy around my belly button (which has practically surfaced) because my mom is sewing a dress for me for Stanton's wedding. Two weeks ago I measured 37 inches today I remeasured due to my conversation and I measured 40 inches! 3 inches in two weeks! I have really been able to feel the stretch and I can feel the girls move quite a bit lately which I love because it doesn't keep me up at night yet!
So I will retake photos sometime this weekend I hope and post them.

Two little....GIRLS

This is baby 'A's profile and her hand is up by her face. There are better pictures but I don't have them on my computer. ohh, by the way yes, HER. She was very active and we got to watch her get hit by her SISTER and then hit her sister back! I know it starts already, right. It was amazing she measured perfectly and seems to be as healthy as possible. We are so comforted and now we can start buying everything in pink and purple. I don't know how we are going to handle this much estrogen neither of us have ever lived under a roof with more than 2 girls.

This is baby 'B's profile. Amazing pictures huh? She also has her hands by her mouth and she was really active too. They were so cute!

Stats

This is a baby at the same gestation as our twins-isn't that amazing? honestly, I am flabbergasted that I have two of these in my tummy growing right now! They are about 5 inches long and weigh about 4 ounces... to put that into perspective they are the size of a beanie baby! that is huge! They don't have any more parts to really develop they just keep getting bigger and bigger, they even have eyebrows now! I CAN'T wait to cuddle these little angels-we are crazy excited-its all I think about!

Another milestone!

Thanksgiving day we were at the Clark's household and as I looked down I swore I could see my tummy moving just above my belly button. I tried to hold really still and got Gus to come watch with me-I could feel something but it didn't feel like 'gas' which is how everyone told me it would feel when they moved. Gus put his hand on my tummy and we both felt a little kick! I have been waiting for this moment for a long time; I have wanted to feel them move since before I even got pregnant. I haven't really felt them since and I have to hold really still but it is amazing to know what is really taking place in our lives.
We documented this amazing day with this photo-my belly seems to have gotten huge this past week!

Good News!!!!!

I might have to start writing in pink!!!! We had an ultrasound today and Dr Leavitt thinks that we might have one girl! We are not sure about the other, but hopefully in two weeks we will know both for sure. I can't wait to go buy something covered with Disney Princess! This is honestly the most amazing exciting process ever.
The little girl is the one facing us baby 'b' and she is sucking on her thumb in this picture! the other one is scratching its head and started to suck its thumb later. They are laying right on top of each other cuddling-hopefully they come out that cuddley! I am so happy right now.

Baby Bump

say bye-bye to my feet they are already starting to disappear! We finally got around to taking photos of my tummy so instead of before they are definantley beginning shots! I am 15 weeks gestation and showing alot I think, strangers are starting to ask me if I am prego which is kinda excited only because I really am. I feel quite large not in comparison to what I will be only to what I was I don't know how much weight I have gained, though.

We couldn't think of any different poses so if you have ideas let me know also what you think they will be-we are finally getting close to finding out I CAN'T wait! We are getting so excited but trust me we are still enjoying sleep and things without them here yet.

More Babies!

We had another doctors appointment but since I worked for him and he couldn't see whose heart beat he was hearing we got another ultrasound! I know we are spoiled-

Look closely and you can see the baby's butt cheeks!

This one you can see the baby on the bottom's face! and a couple of extremities.

BABIES!

These are the most recent pictures of our babies! Angela (our PA) was kind enough to sneek me into the ultrasound room this morning for a peak!
This is Baby 'B'

This is a good picture of both babies but mostly Baby 'A'. This little one was trying to get in a few more z's. You can see his hand very well.

But just like a good sibling Baby 'B' was disturbing it. I could actually see the baby moving around punching the air and kicking 'A'. I almost started to cry it was absolutley amazing.

Baby 'B' moving aroung you can see his arms and legs and alittle pouchy belly!

Baby 'B' profile shot. Can you find his eye? little feet? nose?

We are so excited and it is so reassuring to see them healthy. This is more amazing than I ever thought possible they are both about an inch now and have most of their major organs such as; brain, heart, lungs, and spine. The both had good strong hearts beat on the monitor, I couldn't be happier!

Blessed

Yesterday we had a patient come in who was pregnant and she was miscarrying her baby; maybe it's all these hormones but this hit me really hard. I wanted to offer her some comfort but being pregnant I could only think about how much she already loved that baby. I wish it were possible to cuddle my babies even closer and tell them to just grow strong and healthy. I can't believe how lucky I am. The only other time I have ever felt this blessed in my life was the day I married my soul-mate. (And he is taking such wonderful care of us.) I am so grateful that I was able to get pregnant; let alone have two babies to bless our lives! I know so many people are praying for us and I want to make sure they know that the lord is listening to their prayers and truely watching over us. Thank you for the very many prayers; we are blessed and we can feel it in our lives.

Nappy Time

Needless to say pregnancy has made me more tired (esp with our twins) so Gus and my mom had fun capturing this moment on film. The furry blue thing is Cookie Monster; he is hilarious! When you open his mouth he says funny things like "cookies", "cowabunga" and "hello" . Surprisingly it doesn't get old, esp since he scares the crap out of my mom's dog. Anyway we were playing with him right before I fell asleep apparently-

Double Trouble!

Today Gus and I went in for our first official ultrasound and this is our big news-look at the pictures closely to see if you can guess

Yup, that's right we are seeing double! Twins does run on both sides of our family but we never would have thought that we could have TWINS. Guess we thought wrong! I wish I could describe what I am feeling right now. It's times like this that makes me wish I was a more poetic writer so I could capture all the wonders of this monumental day. At first, I walked around feeling just shocked but now I am so excited I can barely stand still. We have so much work ahead of us but it is going to be so rewarding. We are still at risk for losing one or both so we are praying fiercely. There are a lot of emotions for us but I think mostly we are just so overjoyed to see our babies and that they are healthy.

THE test

This is a picture of one of my positive pregnancy tests! Two lines = positive. I have taken about
7 of these, I know that sounds crazy but I still can't believe it.

Big News

We are so excited to annouce that we are pregnant!
We were thinking about starting to try and suddenly we didn't have to. On August 28 I took a pregnancy test because I was on antibiotics that are not ok in pregnancy, at 5 minutes (the official reading time) it was negative. I kept the test to show Gus that it was negative, but when I glanced at it a few minutes later it showed positive. We got alittle freaked and then tried to come into my office and draw my blood to get a serum test-we couldn't wait to know. But since Gus has never drawn blood before and I couldn't hit my own vein we were forced to wait until morning. I took a test very early the next morning and it showed positive at 4 minutes. I can't explain that feeling but if I had to I would say dreamlike. Gus had to leave me for a couple of hours and I thought I would go crazy with no one to talk to but I made it. We have told some people; I am still nervous I will loose the baby. Katie is doing a very good job of informing the world for me, and I am grateful. It's not that I am not excited because I am estatic but I just can't seem to find a graceful way to put it in a regular conversation.
